Company History
Jet Source was founded in March 1997 when it purchased an existing
Air Carrier certificate, Management Air Transport Services,
Inc. The fleet was
limited to two Lear 35s. In 1999 Jet Source received worldwide
operating
authority along with the authorization to operate aircraft with
10 or more seats.
This permitted Jet Source to expand its fleet.
In February 2000, Jet Source purchased a full-service Fixed Base
Operation
(FBO) and avionics repair station, formerly Cinema Air Jet Center,
based at
Carlsbad's Palomar Airport. Jet Source has since expanded the
repair station
authorization to include aircraft maintenance, in addition to
the avionics repair
and installations that it presently conducts.
With the purchase of an FBO, Jet Source has become a full-service
aviation
firm that can fulfill all of its clients' aviation needs at one
location. With a
recently completed expansion in 2005, we now boast over 120,000
square
feet of hangar space, 35,000 square feet of office space,
and an FBO with a
luxurious executive terminal. We provide experienced maintenance,
avionics, ramp service, fuel sales, aircraft charter, aircraft management
and
aircraft sales/acquisition.
