Safety
Jet Source is the only San Diego charter service to achieve
the industry’s highest safety standard, the Platinum rating
by Aviation Research Group/US (ARG/US). The Platinum rating
is the highest designation afforded an FAR Part 135 Aircraft
Charter Operator by ARG/US, a Cincinnati, OH based aviation
data, research and analysis firm.
According to the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA),
nationwide, there are more than 2,500 air charter operators and
only 68, or less than 3 percent, have achieved the ARG/US
Platinum rating. Jet Source earned the Platinum designation
after meeting stringent criteria for the ARG/US Gold rating
as well as successfully passing an on-site safety audit which
is conducted identically to the Department of Defense (DoD) Air
Carrier Quality and Safety inspection. The intensive audit,
performed by former DoD inspectors on a biannual basis, is a
comprehensive evaluation that focuses on safety, operations
and internal staffing systems.
To earn, and maintain, this rating Jet Source staff, pilots
and crew are held to the most rigorous of standards, including
recurring and realistic safety exercises. Jet Source pilots
undergo yearly emergency drill training and all crew members
are trained on a flight simulator and assigned to no more
than two aircraft types.
The highly coveted rating represents the level of safety Jet
Source has achieved, and is a means to measure the company’s
effectiveness in delivering the highest quality aircraft
charter experience to customers.
In addition, Jet Source’s FBO provides safe, secure, and
private ramp service for all of its customers. The NATA Safety
First certified Line Service Technicians are available 24/7
and Jet Source can accommodate corporate and general aviation
aircraft up to a Global Express.
